6.27.25 Devotional: Wholeness Within God’s Boundaries

God’s Word isn’t meant to restrict our joy because it’s actually where our true joy is found. While many may view the Bible as a book of rules, in reality, it’s a gift of loving boundaries from a God who desires our wholeness and wants to protect us as any loving father would.

What the world may call “rules,” God calls boundaries. These are not to bind us, but to free us from chaos, confusion, and counterfeit versions of joy. The Lord invites us to live joyfully within His truth, where we experience both His protection and His freedom.

He has given us an abundance of healthy boundaries to guard our hearts and souls. When we remain in alignment with His Word, we are free to flourish. But when we choose recklessness or live by the world’s standards, we often fall into confusion, emptiness, and or self-destruction.

As Christ followers we are not called to blend in with culture or live according to what feels good in the moment. We are called to stay rooted in righteousness, living closely connected to the Holy Spirit, discerning and depending on His voice daily.
